Relax, Ground, and Clear the Mind Guided Meditation

Relax, Ground, and Clear the Mind Guided MeditationIf you’re like most people managing hectic or stressful lives, you sometimes need help to clear your mind, ground, and center to reduce your stress. But, when the need arises, you don’t always have the time or opportunity to engage in your favorite self-care remedies like running, yoga, or massage – just like 71 percent of reporting Americans. This is the time to download and tune into Starchaser’s short (seven-minute) mind-clearing, grounding, stress reduction, and relaxation meditation.

The steps of this guided meditation are simple. Once you listen a few times, you can easily guide yourself through the process in only a few minutes, whether at home, work, or traveling.

The Benefits of Meditation, Even an Occasional Short Meditation

Overall health benefits of regular meditation practices are well-documented. Still, you can benefit considerably in the present moment – even while on the go – without adopting one of many longer regular meditation practices if you don’t have the time or dedication.

Tuning into a short (five- to ten-minute) guided meditation is an excellent way to deal with stress and shift your mood, thoughts, focus, breathing, groundedness, and stress level to mention just a few benefits. For example, the HeartMath Institute has extensively researched the health benefits of short heart-centered breathing methods. In particular, their studies show significant impacts on heart regulation and coherence, both key factors undergirding greater ease and body functioning.

Just seven minutes long, this Relax, Ground, and Clear the Mind guided meditation, which does NOT use hypnosis, is a slightly longer version of the kind of guided meditation that I use with clients who need a bit of grounding, calming, or clearing of the mind to enable them to settle into our session or to ready themselves for inner work that can use the imagination, visualization or tapping into the body consciousness and its deeper embodied wisdom.

Shifting Your Brain State From Active Beta to Calmly Attentive Alpha

Starchaser’s Relax, Ground, and Clear meditation moves will move you from an active, focused, and analytical Beta-mind to a more expansive and creative Alpha-mind. (Beta and Alpha are two of four states of consciousness and common brain wave states all people move in and out of throughout the day). In addition to promoting relaxation, being in an Alpha mind state you open your perspective and tap into the inside, your body-mind, and your subconscious.

Using the Short Mediation Practice In the Present Moment

Outside of a mind-body practice or spiritual life coach session, you can in the present moment for managing stress. Listen to or guide yourself through this meditation to facilitate calm, clarity, and stress reduction. Try it when your mind is over-active, worried, or experiencing stress or overload. It’s a quick and convenient way to de-stress and reset, much like self-care practices, but with less time and effort. It too, will make you feel good.

Because this meditation can relieve stress and increase relaxation, it can facilitate and improve sleep. It can mitigate mental chatter (monkey mind) when it arises in the middle of the night and help you fall back to sleep once you’ve awoken. Sleep, after all, is the body’s deeper state of relaxation. Plus, meditation has no side effects like medications do.

As you focus on your breathing accompanied by gentle music and a soft guiding voice, this meditation does exactly what its name implies. It begins with grounding, then follows steps of progressive muscle relaxation, and ends with the clearing of the mind.
