— Jill, Washington, DC (Western Reiki I)
I took the Reiki Review class with Patricia. It was dynamic, flexible, and really informative. I learned a lot of new things and I feel more confident about my practice now.

Western Usui Reiki Level II
Western Usui Reiki Level II Class
Level II Usui Reiki Course Content
Reiki Level II builds the healing capacity of student-practitioners by focusing on learning and using Usui Reiki symbols for self-healing and healing others. Level II moves the student from sensing and experiencing Reiki energy to calling and working with the energy. This level emphasizes hands-on healing and exchange. Level II students become practitioners.
Reiki Symbols
Students learn how to use symbols to clear spaces and objects, add protection to the healing space, and offer prolonged healing through the use of Reiki boxes and grids. They also learn to conduct distance healing sessions. We also review basic Level I hand positions and standard healing session protocols.
Class Duration
Classes are two full days, typically on Saturday and Sunday, or two consecutive Saturdays or Sundays. However, an alternative schedule can be arranged.
Certification
Each student receives a certificate of completion and a detailed manual.
NOTE: The teacher is always available to answer questions or provide guidance on a continuing basis.
Western Usui Reiki Level I-II Review
Western Usui Reiki Level I-II Review
Why Review?
Some Master/Instructors offer quick and dirty Reiki classes. In fact, sometimes the classes are nothing more than attunements. And, some Masters suggest that students do their own Reiki study online in order to fill out their knowledge - what's lacking from the class.
Unfortunately, their students end up with very limited knowledge of Reiki and have no time to practice or ask questions. Those who manage to find a Reiki Share (Reiki Exchange) to join, end up learning bit by bit from others and hopefully, over time, patch together adequate training to confidently practice or go on to Level III, the Masters Level.
Who Is the Review Class for?
This Western Usui Reiki review class is meant for those who have had this unfortunate class experience as well as for those who generally want to improve their knowledge and skills, get answers to unresolved questions, or have more supervised practice.
Prerequisite
Students must have completed Level I and Level II Western Usui Reiki.
Usui Reiki Level I-II Review Course Content
The material is reviewed quickly and selectively with the focus on what the students want to spend time on. The focus is on knowledge and practice gaps. For example, if distant healing is where students want to focus, more time will be allocated to that. As a result, each Reiki Review I-II class is a bit different.
Students receive the full detailed manuals from Starchaser's Level I and Level II classes. These manuals serve as excellent references for the students and even include suggestions for further reading.
Students also re-attuned to both levels.
Class Duration
Western Usui Reiki Level I-II Review is one full day.
Certification
Each student receives a certificate of completion and a detailed manual.
NOTE: The teacher is always available to answer questions or provide guidance on a continuing basis.
Sekhem-Seichim Reiki Level I-II
Sekhem-Seichim Reiki (SSR)
SSR Course Content
Sekhem-Seichim Reiki (SSR) Level I and II are taught together because all students will have had experience with Reiki energy through their Usui Level I training, which is a prerequisite.
Level I and II Sekhem-Seichim Reiki (SSR) classes includes a brief review of Usui history and the history of SSR. Students focus on experiencing SSR energy and sensing the difference in Usui and SSR energies. They learn and use Usui and SSR symbols for self-healing and healing others. Students learn how to use symbols to clear spaces and objects, add protection to the healing space, and create Reiki grids. The class also offers instruction in conducting distance healing sessions. The SSR Level I and II class emphasizes hands-on healing and exchange. Basic Reiki hand positions taught in Usui Reiki Level I and healing session protocols are reviewed.
Classes are held for two full days, typically on Saturday and Sunday, but an alternative schedule can be arranged. Each student-practitioner receives a certificate of completion and a manual. Certified Level I Usui Reiki is a prerequisite.
As is the case with all other Reiki classes, the teacher is always available to answer questions or provide guidance on a continuing basis.
Reiki For Dogs
Reiki For Dogs
Reiki For Dogs Format
This class combines elements of Reiki Level I and II and extracts what is most relevant for working with canine clients.
The class includes a short introduction to what Reiki is and its origins. Day one is focused on creating a healing space, sensing Reiki energy, and self-healing (no dogs involved).
On day two, students learn Level II Reiki symbols, how to use them, and how to give sessions to dogs (you do not need to bring a dog). Those who are already Reiki certified can opt to attend day two only.
Students will receive several attunements and a certificate in Reiki Healing For Dogs as well as a detailed Reiki For Dogs manual.
NOTE: This certification is not equivalent to standard Reiki Level I and II classes. Therefore, students will not be certified to work with people. The more standard Reiki Level I and II classes go into considerable detail on working with people, appropriate intake, hand positions, etc.
As is the case with all other Reiki classes, the teacher is always available to answer questions or provide guidance on a continuing basis.
Class Cancelation Policy
Class Cancelation Policy
I like my classes to be small and intimate, but there is a minimum number of students required for certain classes and workshops. Exchange and learning from other students is invaluable to the experience. In addition, there are often fixed costs associated with renting a venue.
One week to ten days prior to the scheduled class or workshop, I reconfirm that the class or workshop will be held as planned, provide additional logistical information, and send out class materials.
For these reasons, I have a fixed cancelation policy.
- Cancellations made three weeks prior to the class or workshop, are refundable.
- Cancellations made two weeks prior to the class or workshop, are not refundable, but students receive full credit toward another class or workshop. These changes are subject to a $35 administrative fee.
- Cancellations made within one week or less of the class or workshop are not refundable, nor will the student receive credit. I'm sorry to impose this penalty, but there are venue fees and the possibility that a small class or workshop would need to be canceled for all students when one cancellation is made at this late stage.
