Getting Into Theta Guided Meditation

Brain waves for the Getting into Theta meditation

This Getting Into Theta guided meditation takes the listener into a theta brain state characterized by theta brain waves or a theta frequency.

Brain Waves and Meditation

The brain is electrical and filled with neural networks. Brain frequencies constantly shift throughout the day and night. Certain states, or ranges of brain wave frequencies, are more prevalent during the day, others during the night.

Wave frequencies also shift in accordance with what a person is doing. From a different vantage point, certain frequencies support specific activities and brain activation. For example, beta frequency supports focused work, while alpha frequencies support relaxation and an open focus.

The popularity of meditations and guided meditations that shift brain states are based on the relationship between brain waves and human activity. Shift the brain frequency and facilitate or enhance a particular intention or activity.

Why Cultivate Theta Brain Waves

Theta brain waves are present in the dream state. However, they also support behavior change, transformation, and neuroplasticity. Thus, this state can play an important role in thought work (e.g., ThetaHeaing) and personal development.

Theta waves support a person during deep meditation, daydreaming, or imagining. Theta is the state of the subconscious where imagination and reality are nearly indistinguishable and the mind is highly impressionable. Hence their utility to creativity endeavors.

While delta brain waves characterize deep sleep, theta waves also occur during sleep, particularly when a person experiences lucid dreams.

Finally, deep trance states are achieved in a theta state.

Theta For Learning, Inner Awareness, Healing, Neuroplasticity, and More

These characteristics of theta promote super learning. Intentions more easily take hold and boost manifestation.

Theta is for cultivating inner body awareness and dialogue. It’s also the state that some alternative energy healers access to initiate spontaneous healing and transformation.

I find Theta expansive, deeply calming, and very enjoyable to experience.

About the Getting Into Theta Meditation

This meditation will guide you into the Theta state and then into a deep Theta state.

A well-paced meditation follows a soft guiding voice accompanied by soothing music gently playing in the background.

All Starchaser meditations are under 15 minutes long. Some of them are as short as seven minutes. The shortness facilitates regular use, especially for those with busy lives.

When the guiding ends, the music continues for approximately three or four minutes to give the listener time to enjoy or use the Theta state. (Approximately twelve minutes long in total.)

This meditation does not use hypnosis. It uses relaxation, visualization, and breathwork.
