Balance Your Throat Chakra Naturally

If you have trouble with interpersonal communication or manifestation Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) for balance the the chakra naturallyof your intentions, chances are your throat chakra is out of balance. Thus, to address these issues, you might balance your Throat Chakra naturally with Throat Chakra essential oils. In particular, crystals, sound, energy healing, and plants holistically help restore balance and good functioning.

The medicinal attributes of aromatic plants and their derivatives, essential oils, also facilitate energy healing because energetic imbalances tend to eventfully manifest in the physical body. For example, a throat chakra imbalance can result in ear, nose, and throat issues or chronic neck and shoulder pain.  In other words, these physical symptoms are signs of energetic imbalance.

From my perspective as a practitioner, aromatic plants offer excellent bridges between subtle (energetic) and biochemical (clinical) as well as physical modalities. They reinforce each other to promote optimum healing, balance, and wellness.

Throat Chakra Functions

In the middle of the neck and throat, you’ll find the Throat Chakra, which is also known as the Fifth Chakra and Vishuddha in Sanskrit.

It’s most commonly known for its association with speech and communication. This includes communication of your professional, personal, and spiritual truths. But, that’s not all.

Vishuddha also underlies the projection of your will, purpose, intentions, desires, and creative impulses. While the throat chakra is about aspirations for yourself, it is also about what you aspire for others, humanity, and the world.

Consequently, when you have a balanced throat chakra, you communicate well and can articulate your aspirations and speak your truth.

Yin and Yang Qualities of the Fifth Chakra

When you’re stuck or blocked, there is usually a connection to this chakra. As with all the other chakras, the dysfunction can be inward (yin) or outward (yang).

A yin type of Fifth Chakra dysfunction causes you to lock your feelings, thoughts, and opinions up inside. You’ll sense that you’re not being heard. Or, perhaps you’ll refrain from speaking your mind because you fear the possible repercussions from others or a nasty judgemental voice in your head. Shame, doubt, and resentment are common sentiments of this type of throat chakra imbalance.

A yang type of imbalance is expressed more outwardly. You might be a talker, interrupter, or poor listener. With yang dysfunction, others may say you’re closed-minded and judgmental, you don’t listen and are resistant to change, or you’re not open to others’ views.

Throat Chakra Essential Oils for a Balanced Throat Center

Throat chakra dysfunction may cause you to ignore your inner voice, fear expressing yourself, or impede your ability to listen. Receptivity and listening are critical aspects of communication. If this happens, try myrrh, lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), and neroli (Citrus aurantium). Lavender will also calm you and temper the need to talk incessantly. Finally, carrot seed will help you understand another person’s point of view with compassion.

Cultivating Open, Loving, Authentic Communication

Bay laurel releases outmoded ways of thinking and opens you to the perspectives of others and new ideas and perspectives, in general. Tuberose and fennel encourage honest frank communication. Both generate an atmosphere of love for the self and others.

Another way these oils reinforce each other nicely is tuberose calms and soothes while fennel supports greater confidence, courage, and motivation. Likewise, Roman chamomile calms, balances, and harmonizes. Black spruce promotes the communication of inner feelings. Ylang Ylang, black pepper (Piper nigrum), neroli, myrrh, and thyme (Thymus vulgaris) all instill courage.

Get Unstuck Naturally

Fragonia always comes to mind when a person is blocked, stuck, or resistant, which is often the case with a dysfunctional throat chakra. It can also release deep-seated blockages, balance the mind and body, and promote inner harmony.

Myrrh helps break through blockages. Juniper, Atlantic cedar, black spruce, and rosemary clear energetic blockages. In addition, juniper, rosemary, and petitgrain call in positive, protective energy and promote inner wisdom.

Plants Galvanize Forward Momentum

Calendula, Douglas fir (Pseudotsuaga menziesii), and hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) stimulate an opening. However, jasmine is probably the quintessential oil to encourage openness because adds joy and enthusiasm and dispels the fear that can hold you back. Jasmine also heightens spiritual connection and awareness.

Likewise, Roman chamomile and Petitgrain help you see and express your highest truths, cultivate acceptance and patience, and nourish your self-image. Additionally, petitgrain promotes optimism and helps to alleviate mental patterns associated with shame and obsessive behaviors.

Addressing Physical Complaints

Many of the essential oils derived from the pine family pines (Pinus), spruces (Picea), and firs (Abies) address respiratory symptoms of throat chakra dysfunction. Thyme, clove (Eugenia caryophyllata), and both blue gum and lemon eucalyptus relieve a variety of issues in the throat.
